December 22, 2010 at 5:30 pmCool! Guess it’s not “official” as it isn’t on their download page yet. Any idea as to what was fixed?
-Jim.

December 22, 2010 at 5:36 pmSorry Jim but I have no idea.
Even the 10.0b manual doesn’t list anything.
We’ll have to be patient and wait for it to be posted on the “official” page. -

Unfortunately yes but only on one of my work machines.
My home machine is fine.As reported in the HELP….Render problems with upgrade thread on the Sony Vegas forum, some users are having serious issues doing renders to the Sony AVC format.
To their credit, Sony jumped into the thread and here’s their response.
Hello Folks,
Thanks for the detailed bug reports. We are currently looking into the issue and have determined that the problem is limited to the Sony AVC plug-in.
We recommend that you stick with Vegas Pro 10.0a if this is a workflow you typically use.
Sorry for the inconvenience. -

December 23, 2010 at 11:25 pmYes, the AVC rendering with 10b is also a big problem in Holland. Good that Sony is already looking into that problem. Thanks!

December 29, 2010 at 4:43 amHas anyone tried the upgrade or even a clean install, of the 64-bit version of Vegas 10.0b, on 64-bit Windows 7?
For me, either with upgrade from 10.0a to 10.0b or a complete, clean install of 10.0b after following Sony’s instructions to the letter, the program crashes at the point in the startup phase where it tries to create its windows. I had to roll back to 10.0a and at this point cannot run 10.0b.
I have an open case with Sony but haven’t heard back yet, and wondered if anyone else had had any trouble with their upgrade?
