You may want to take a look at this tutorial I did some time ago (Simple Object Removal) but it all really depends on the footage, and since you only posted stills I can’t really tell if it will work for you. I think that it should, maybe you’ll need to do some extra masking, but the general approach of removing is ok.
Try it out.
Good luck!

you need to create a seperate layer on top of the logo layer, that will be a duplicate of the logo, and then draw the mask over it, and then choose Track Matte of the bottom layer to be Luma.
You might also want to try AutoTrace, that will create the vector outline of the logo.
it all depends on the logo.

What i meant was that CustomEffect installer is designed for After Effects 7.0 and 8.0, often referred to as CS2 and CS3.
PixelSampler is a specyfic preset that is designed to work in CS3.

It’s because you’re working on interlaced footage. DV is interlaced by nature, and in postproduction it’s always best to work on progressive video, so after effects interprets the footage so that only one field is visible. Its like deinterlace on-the-fly.
to change that you should right click on your footage in AE, choose Interprete footage > Main, and then turn Seperate Fields off.

When I was upgrading from CS2 to CS3, i uninstalled CS2, that left only the plugins inside the old folder (since they were not part of the CS2). then i installed CS3, and moved the files into new folder. everything works.

CustomEffects Installer is designed for AE CS2 and CS3.
Are you using it with those versions?

Hey everybody. Sorry for not posting for such a long time.
Since I don’t have a Mac, I’d be very happy if someone could make a 2 mins tutorial on where the file sits and what to do with it when installing my CustomEffects on Mac.Also, I’m looking for AppleScript programmer, or generally anyone who is programming for MAc, so he could make a Mac version of my Windows CustomEffects Installer.
I’m glad you’re so interested in the CustomEffects and that you took the time to find out how to install them.
Sorry for the whole misunderstanding. I hope that from this moment forward CustomEffects installation will not be a problem anymore.
Too bad that CustomEffects make sense only for expression-based. It is impossible to include a standard effect/plugin and bind it with the rest of the controls….. at least not yet 😉 I’m working on it.
Cheers and Happy AfterEffect’ing.

thanks everyone.
i bet its a DNS problem, but a very strange one.
both sites (polygon.pl and maltaannon.com) sit on the
same server, same ip, and so on.and the strangest thing is that when you do a ping test, it will pass, and after 10 or 15 minutes the site will start working for you.
so please do this test.
ping this ip: 82.96.97.32 and wait for a few minites.something is wrong for sure, but no one is talking.
it’s a conspiracy.grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

August 25, 2007 at 12:50 pm in reply to: COW Tutorials: After Effects CE Pixel SamplerHey, thanks for contributing to the CustomEffects project! 🙂
Like Kathlyn said, the instructions are in the tutorial article right above the presets files to download.I am looking for a programmer that works on Mac, that could make a copy of my CustomEffects installer for Mac. It is not so hard. I’ll provide all the specs. I think that it may even be AppleScript programmer.
I’m wating for your emails.
Thanks.
