    Dear Friends!

Some of you complain that my website http://www.maltaannon.com in not accesible. I had two server crashes since March 2007, but I know for sure that the server is up and running at this moment, yet some of you still don’t see my website.

I called my system administrator, I called my hosting provider, I called my domain provider… everyone claim that it works. So I’am forced to solve the problem on my own.

Therefore I ask all of you who can’t see my website http://www.maltaannon.com to write me an email that is hosted on google.

I’m not going to write the address, because I don’t want to get any spam 😉 but i’m sure you can figure out the email address.

It’s “maltaannon at (google free email system)”.

Please check if those sites work: http://www.maltaannon.com and polygon.pl. If at least one of them does not, please write me an email.

Thanks for all your help and support.
    Maltaannon

I thought the problem in my connection.
your website is down, hope you can solve the problem.

The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings.

I can get there from my mac, but not my pc.

Well…. now, I can get to both sites from both machines. I have two ISP as it’s really important that Ron and I have access, so we have both cable and dsl since the cable is sometimes flakey. Because my pc is connected through dsl, I though perhaps it was something in the settings of of the provider — which it may still be if you can’t connect.

But for now, I have access to both sites.

    thanks everyone.

i bet its a DNS problem, but a very strange one.
both sites (polygon.pl and maltaannon.com) sit on the
same server, same ip, and so on.

and the strangest thing is that when you do a ping test, it will pass, and after 10 or 15 minutes the site will start working for you.

    so please do this test.
ping this ip: 82.96.97.32 and wait for a few minites.

something is wrong for sure, but no one is talking.
    it’s a conspiracy.

    grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

    noooo! stop! don’t do it

don’t ping the ip. not yet.
first i’d like to know your DNS ip’s, before they learn that maltaannon.com is the same thing polygon.pl is.

please send me an email or just post those DNS ip’s here.
    thanks a million!

I think you are still having DNS problems. I was looking into this when you first posted. You’re correct in that pinging the maltaannon.com results in the ip address for polygon.pl
Doing an NSlookup on maltaannon.com results in the ip address for polygon.pl
If you are doing redirects, you may also need to update your dns server at polygon.pl Your Whois lists two:
    NS1.POLYGON.PL
    NS2.POLYGON.PL

I run a web server and several months ago had this very same problem with all the same symptoms. Came down to a faulty NIC on my server box. Dollars to doughnuts that if you change your NIC, it’ll go away. It was a low-cost fix that I had to scuttle a FL vacation for.

    Hi Maltaannon,

I did say weeks ago that I couldn’t access your site and I STILL can’t. I can access your polygon.pl site with no problems but maltaannon.com I haven’t been able to access for at least a month (Winxp Box). I am very frustrated because I loved your tutorials on After Effects. Please let me know when this is resolved because I can’t wait to learn more about After Effects.

    -Regards

    Antoni.
