This is the first time I have started with AE. I need to Remove a white background on a Logo.

But the name of the company is also in White. So I need to mask the Luma Key that I am using to remove the white background so that it does not Luma Key out the name of the Company.

I know that this is simple but I can’t figure this out. First AE project.

    Thanks for your help.

you need to create a seperate layer on top of the logo layer, that will be a duplicate of the logo, and then draw the mask over it, and then choose Track Matte of the bottom layer to be Luma.

You might also want to try AutoTrace, that will create the vector outline of the logo.

it all depends on the logo.
