set em’ up for progressive. Don’t worry about PsF vs interlaced. As far as you’re concerned (in 24p modes) it’s progressive.

Your letter/position would carry more substance with folks if you shared your acquisition source and export format.

There are some quirks in Vegas when working with certain file types, no doubt.
Me…I want to sue every developer of software that doesn’t support 64 bit plugins for the video and audio side of Vegas, simply because I hate using 32bit software now. 😉

Artbeats has an entire library of dozens of animated overlays for this very purpose. T

    K.
    To to this;
Shoot on green (or other color if you must)
put down a 50% grey background beneath the green content.
    Key out the green.
The Grey will give you a very clear understanding of what exactly is being keyed. There are dozens of VASST tutorials on keying on our website.
Next, turn off/mute the grey background track.
Now…Render the file as an uncompressed, 32 bit avi file with alpha channel. This is what you’ll import to Flash for 32bit Flash export to the Flash file. It’s actually quite easy once you open in Flash; you’ll see how it’s done once you have the 32 bit avi file to import.

a scripting assistance tool like Ultimate S can do this for you in a click.
Additionally, you can go to Preferences | Editing and set Automatically Overlap multiple clips with a user-defined length

you’ll need to export a 32bit file (alpha channel) from Vegas. It can then be imported to Flash with the transparency channel.
https://www.bobdiamondrealestate.com/v2/pages/events.html offers an example of a really fast Vegas export.

What is the source footage? Some types of source don’t seem to want to display first/last frame.

have you placed the broadcast filter on the output and then scoped it both on external and internal? They should match at that point.

    you’re seeing one frame added.
As Mike mentioned, this is a consistent problem. The tape capture aspect of Vegas hasn’t been updated for many years, (and never will be).

There are free capture apps that should fix the problem.
