Beach Camera is not a Panasonic Authorized US.

Go to Panasonic’s web site and locate a dealer there.

Special Communications does a good job and is authorized.

The rebate is extended to 3/31

You must organize p2 BEFORE trying to import.

    This isn’t a Mac/PC issue; it’s required for both

[Skelmose TV] “Someone told me that you could get a P2 card with firewire out. Then you should be able to use standard firewire disks to record your MXF files. Do not know the manufactor of the card – someone else ?”

You might be referrring to the Cineporter, but that isn’t firewire out. It is a two card slot solution into the p2 card slots and records to an hard drive configured to receive native streams.

January 4, 2007 at 5:28 pm in reply to: 8gb P2 card rebate confusion

It is confusing, but the rebate extends to March 31, 2007 from October.

If you are buying between now and then you’re fine.

As I stated, duel systems has an PC Card to ExpressCard/34 adapter in beta testing for release early in January.

It will permit transfer of p2 cards specifically to the MacBook Pro.

Seems like a pretty solution to me.
