You can find the capture logs app at

Library/application support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve

If you double click it and mail us the file it saves.

I have an idea of what’s going on but I’d like to check the logs

Hey Dan,

Is their a Red box at the top of the clip in the thumbnails ?

If so you just need to right click on the clip and click batch copy.

this will break the link for you between clips.

Hi Roman,

Do you have an reference QT movie as part of that group?

I select all the media used in the project and carefully deselect the reference movie and then the change parent directory works perfectly.

Hi Samir,

This step : “disabled all of the energy saving options in the preferences”

Is what would have fixed it. Resolve needs to use the bigger graphics card for processing and when you disable the energy saving options it would enable the larger card full time.

Hi Lee,

If you hit cmd C it will toggle between :

GUI and SDI / GUI only / SDI Only and Off

You can also find it under the View tab on the menu bar under Window Outline

Hey Robin,

What are you trying to build the LUT for ?

If you are building a look to put into the HDLink for on set use for example for Alexa LogC to Rec709 and also apply a basic look to help the director see what it will look like in the final grade Resolve is perfect for this.
