Sorry I know it must be very simple!

Am grading a clip/node in the timeline and the whole timeline is being effected with
the same grade. Any help would be great and then I’ll be flying!

This is actually how Resolve works.
Instead of bothering your clients with a million little things, it applies a fantastic overall grade
It could also be the case you are in track mode instead of clip mode.
    Just guessing 😉

    Hey Dan,

Is their a Red box at the top of the clip in the thumbnails ?

If so you just need to right click on the clip and click batch copy.

this will break the link for you between clips.

    I hope this helps!

ahhhh….so everything is from one file I assume ?
    that explains it..
Did you try and do a preconform that splits the one file into segments ?

Yeah if you forget to split the media that would do it.. Another thing to check is to right click on a clip and do batch unlink. Maybe they are all linked together?

    Hi again,

Very new to Resolve…..coming from Color.

The whole sequence was mixed/bakeddown, so all clips have the same name.
So I assume I need to look out for this and a whole lot more!

    Looking forward to it.

    Thanks a lot.

I don’t see a red box (I have resolve 14) or anywhere saying batch unlink. Elsewhere I’ve been told to use local grades but when I select this, I lose the grade I had which I still want on most of the clips. How can I keep the grade I had on some clips and change the grade on others?
