July 29, 2011 at 2:41 amHi Samir,
What OSX version are you using?
If you are using OSX 10.6.8/10.7.0 (Lion), you will need to update CUDA to 4.0.19/4.0.21 from the NVIDIA website.
If this doesn’t help please send us logs, and we will take a look. You can capture the logs using the following application:
/Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/CaptureLogs.app

I’m running on snow leopard 10.6.8
I did contact DaVinci support they replied with a list of supported MBP.my laptop is supported, but its just 4 Gb not 8Gb.if that is the only problem , I can upgrade to 8Gb . But if it’s not , I don’t wanna spend anymore money on a dead end machineI will sending my logs soon

July 29, 2011 at 4:58 pmFinally I got Resolve lite finally up and running , I don’t know what exactly fixed it’ but here is what I did :
-Removed Resolve
-Removed all blackmagic softwares
– Verified and repaired disk permission
-Set the performance to the maximum, disabled all of the energy saving options in the preferences
– Re- installed Resolve
-That’s itNow I can go through the manual page by page and learn all about this mythical piece of software
Thanks to all of you guys

July 30, 2011 at 4:42 pmHi Samir,
This step : “disabled all of the energy saving options in the preferences”
Is what would have fixed it. Resolve needs to use the bigger graphics card for processing and when you disable the energy saving options it would enable the larger card full time.
I’m glad its working and hope you enjoy it!

November 19, 2011 at 4:18 amI’m getting the same error. Any help would be appreciated. I’m on a Hackintosh so my problem might stem from that, but I’ll try any fixes suggested. I can post logs too.
