Yep, but sadly a new PC can cost as much as a cubix expander. And you can get motherboards with 7 PCI-e slots, making a PC much more economical at the high end.

This honestly looks like everything asked for on this board, aside from audio rendering. Amazing.

Make sure “automatic blanking” is off in the format tab – I have no idea what’s going on with that but having that on auto seems to be what’s causing the border sometimes.

Oh my gosh can you imagine what the configuration guide will look like? I mean, all they have is the Mac to support right now and even so there is a new thread about it on here every day. With Windows it’s going to be crazy!

Do you need a beefier power supply if shoving a 470 into mac pro and not the cubix? I know you do for the 480.

  • It feels like the elegant way to implement this would be using the new 2nd RGB input (made if I understand correctly for Epic HDRX right now) – just a 2nd node stream, and then all we’d need is the layer mixer node to support blending modes.

I wish the same feature that aligns shots for 3D could align my PTZR for me

Resolve understands fades, dissolves, and clip speed.

Things like motion effects, filters, are ignored by resolve but kept in the timeline when brought back to FCP. So if you don’t do any repositioning inside Resolve, your project will go back to FCP perfectly.

Any titles you had will be kept, although show up as offline clips in Resolve.

Actual speed ramps with variable speed are not supported.

All in all the roundtrip is pretty good!

Can you just feed the node’s alpha channel into the other node? You’ll have the same “tracking” and apply different corrections.

You can zoom out the non-visual timeline (the one above the thumbnails), to view the entire length. Then you can just click through that to move around more quickly.
