Often when i render R3D material out of Resolve, i’ll get a 1 or 2 pixel black border around my image. If i scale the image up a little, it gets rid of it.

Is this something to do with debayer settings or anything like that? or maybe the automatically scale to fit isn’t behaving properly?

is the best solution to just scale everything up slightly? anyone else experiencing this?

Yeah, this is such an egregious problem that I’m surprised it doesn’t come up on this board all the time. I’d also be curious for an answer but I’ve noticed the problem goes away by scaling up on the output scaling like you suggested, or selecting “center crop with no resizing” on your input options and then the appropriate half-res decoder setting…

It seems like it shouldn’t be that hard for the Resolve scaling to protect the edges… and it really seems to happen all the time with the “scale entire image to fit” setting.

Make sure “automatic blanking” is off in the format tab – I have no idea what’s going on with that but having that on auto seems to be what’s causing the border sometimes.

Yeah I’ve had the same issue with the .r3d’s and the black border. I always add an output scale of 1.002 on zoom to correct for the problem… but shouldn’t need to do that. Its a bug.
