Hmm, I’ve never noticed a change to banding switching between any available modes. I have an HDLink which should be sufficient for some color management.

I don’t want to hijack the thread but regarding Panny color management – is there any way to turn that off and improve the look? Banding has always been my number one problem with my client monitoring.

Doesn’t something like the Decklink only need 4x PCIe? As well as, arguably, your GUI GPU

Also I find keyframes almost impossible to select because of how tiny they are, and zooming/moving around the keyframe timeline is almost impossible.

I’m going to try being optimistic here and say BM aren’t crippling 3rd party hardware expressly to sell their own. They clearly care more about market penetration, with how they’re pricing things, and having broad hardware support helps that a lot.
I’m hoping they would enable the kind of remapping for these panels that we got used to with Apple Color though, but it really seems like they’re busy developing their hardware and software first (just look at how much Resolve’s grown in the past year).

That’s “unmix” mode you’re looking for. You can enable it by clicking the unmix tab above your nodes. It’s basically a mode that ignores dissolves and layers, and only shows you the clip you’re actively working on.

Very true but there’s diminishing returns. Being able to run say, 3 GPUs, decklink, redrocket, and a raid card gets you a lot more than just 2 GPUs, a decklink, and raid.
Those looking for 16 slot expansions are probably working on fairly high end projects and aren’t looking to shave an extra 2-3 grand off a system.
