Using Print Screen may help you a little.
This will save your time. Pressing ” Cmnd + Plus/Minus Keys ” will zoom in out out respectively the browser window which will give you a better resolution image elements though they will pixelate
a little if you zoom a lot.Here is the link on how on to use print screen :

After importing the elements in Ae, turn your layers 3D and animate them as required.
For the typing effect, there is a Preset in AE ” Typewriter ” which you can use.For using AE Camera have a look at this:

Sorry for the wrong interpretation.
I think You haven’t enabled the Disk Cache.
Press ” Cmnd + Opt + ; ” to open preferences and Check Disk Cache in Media and Disk Cache.
Also, If you are going for Ram Preview( pressing 0(Num Pad) ), then Disk Cache is not usable and if your Mac doesn’t have sufficient Ram than it wont save the Preview.

Blending mode works even with 3D Layers.
Dissolve and Dancing Dissolve do not work on 3D layers.If you have your 3D layers in a Precomp, then Enable the Collapse Transformation and you will see you 3D layers with their respective Blending Modes.

Paint the board with the clone tool and then Track the shot with Mocha AE. Once it will be tracked, you can add anything on it.
Mocha comes with Ae(CS5 and above) and is a very powerful tool for tracking.
There are many tutorials on YouTube that will help you to learn Mocha basics quickly.

There is no option to control the Tangents once you split the transform properties. I am also getting the same problem.
So if you want to work with different axis and also want to see the control tangents then you can use Separate XYZ Position Effect.
This will give you the ability to control all the dimensions separately with the control tangents.
