Creating Splash
Hello!
I’m trying to create a splash in After Effects.
Here is the set up of the project:
There are three devices: phone, tablet, laptop. An icon “jumps” across the three screens. When the icon touches the screen a ripple is created, and the device is turned “on” (the screen goes from a black screen to view of a website). On the final device, the laptop, I would like to create a splash from the icon.Does anyone have any simple steps I could follow to make this happen?

I already have the ripples. I was looking for something more of a splash, like a rock being thrown into water.

I would create several small splash sprites to emit using Trapcode Particular or one of the particle emitters already built into After Effects.
