seperate dimensions / motion path tangents
Posted by Aaron Kent on November 27, 2012 at 4:44 pmWhy is it that when you take an objects position channel and seperate the dimensions, you lose the ability to adjust motion path tangents in the comp window?
Cheers

November 27, 2012 at 6:12 pmIf you right click on the position channel of a layer (2D or 3D) you can select “seperate dimensions” which breaks out the X, Y and (if its a 3d layer) the Z channel into seperate keyable channels. Once you do that, it does not seem like you can control tangent handles in the comp window. I’m trying to conceptualize it in my head, it might not be possible to adjust channels in that fashion once they are split, but I feel like thats an incorrect assumption.

There is no option to control the Tangents once you split the transform properties. I am also getting the same problem.
So if you want to work with different axis and also want to see the control tangents then you can use Separate XYZ Position Effect.
This will give you the ability to control all the dimensions separately with the control tangents.
