Final Draft comes in a film version and in an AV version for two column television scripts. There is also ScriptWerx, which is a template add-on to Word that works very well. I used it for years for TV format scripts.

There are two types of markers, clip markers and timeline markers. Which kind are you using? If they’re clip markers the clip has to be selected. If they’re timeline markers, no clip can be selected. Add some markers to a timeline. Make sure nothing is selected and press Control-` . Does it work? If it’s not working you have a problem with your keyboard language. If you’re using the English language version of the application, the keyboard has to be set to US standard.

What’s the multiclip option? Do you mean multicam? After you did the edit. did you collapse the sequence clips?

Go to the marker and press Cmd-`. Control-` will delete all markers. There is a keyboard shortcut for moving a marker later in time, but not earlier. All these functions are available under the Mark menu.

It wouldn’t be easy in FCP. It would be relatively simple in Photoshop.

If you unlink and use slip or side you” move the audio out of sync. Leave linked selected turned on. Press the Option key and in the Timeline grab the end of the audio edit. With the Option key drag it left or right to change the audio In point. If there is another clip abutted to it, use the Roll tool (R).

If they’re numbered sequentially (hopefully) you can set the FCP stills import preference to one frame and import the folder. There will be a 999 frame limit before the file sequence gets wonky. You could also use the QuickTime Pro player. Use Open>Image Sequence. Select the first numbered image in the sequence and open it. Set the frame rate. Then export to a QT file in the format your’re working in.

This is not possible. The tweaks you make in FCP will not be reproduced in the STP project. Obviously picture only tweaks won’t matter, but anything that affects audio, levels, lengths, filters, extra will have no reference in the STP project. You need to be in picture lock before you do what you’re doing.

Should I assume you’re using Final Cut Pro and not Final Cut Express?
Yes you can merge clips. Make In points on the video and audio, or if you have matched timeccode, use the timecode, and merge the clips. This function isn’t available in FCE.
If there is no obvious sync point that you can mark an In point to like a clapperboard, put the two shots in the timeline, line them up in sync. Trim the shots if there is extra video or audio and then link them together. Take the linked clips back into the browser and use as clips.
