Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy Split end edit

    I know there is a simple answer to perform a split end edit ( also a L edit) where the audio begins under the previus picture before you cut to the current picture, but I will be damed if I can find it as described in the Apple manuals..slip? Slide? Trim? ..and the audio should keep in sync. I have FCP 4.5 and have been on this for over an hour..tx

    It’s the option or control key and just drg the track(s).

    thanks, but it still does not work properly..the video and audio go out of sync, LINK is off, I tried using Slip and Slide and the book is not forhtcoming in the HOW to do this audio split..any other suggestions? thanks again

    If you unlink and use slip or side you” move the audio out of sync. Leave linked selected turned on. Press the Option key and in the Timeline grab the end of the audio edit. With the Option key drag it left or right to change the audio In point. If there is another clip abutted to it, use the Roll tool (R).
