    Perfect, thanks Randy.

    With your generous instructions and the C4DCafe reference,
    I am well on my way.

    RE
    I spoke too quickly. This is easily down by dropping a material on the spline, just like everything else. Do not know
    why I didn’t think of that right off hand.

    Thanks for setting the direction Adam.
    You are always so helpful. I really appreciate your time.

    BTW
    while I was laying down spines for guidelines, it occurred to me
    that it would be very nice to be able to change the color of the splines. Is that possible?

    EDIT

    Cheers,

    there are some great examples in the content browser
    under MOCCA, Clothilde.

    You need to use the BELT tag to constrain your cloth to an object.

    Clothilde is very cabable.

    Thanks Adam, you’re a Zeus amongst mortals.

    It’s amazing to me that one can have so much power at their fingertips for rendering without having to buy multiple seats of software.

    Maxon is amazing.

    That is a great “point”, thanks Adam 🙂

    I wonder how hard this would be to implement as a plug-in…

    Thanks,

    Answer (R11)

    Cloth->Expert->Self Collision (check)

    Cloth->Expert->Sub Sampling
    Highly dependent upon cloth parameters!

    As a point of reference, can you go to this site and under “downloads” get “plants” and run it.
    https://www.kingcoma.com/fla/index.html
    (this is not my site, btw)

    It has hair and takes about 10 seconds to render on an XP Pro system, 1.8G, Dual Core, 2G-Ram system.
