    Hey Chris,

Thank so much for your quick reply & suggestion – you exactly see the issue @ hand.

I started leaning in the frame-by-frame paint but didn’t think of it in your terms; I believe that’s a great approach.

    Take care,

    Tom

  • Thanks Blaise I really appreciate that feedback.

I’m on a budget and have to make due for now so would you say the
best I can do with my setup to

    1. put my original media (raw video) on my
internal HDD (2nd Hard-drive, D Drive). Is this my scratch disk also?
Sorry, haven’t used PPRO in many years.

    2. On my boot drive, which is my C drive (SSD) have
    the Media Cache files also?

I would think this would be better than using an external hard-drive
    no?

    Thanks again!

It’s a fine line, I understand and appreciate the perspective, thanks Adam.

I have had so many discussions with artists about this and I have to say that the startup fee
is a deal breaker for almost everyone. Unfortunately this is true for me as well.

Much love to C4D but I think their lack of response to this is going to hurt them.
I can’t believe I am saying this but I think Blender is going to be the shockwave in this industry.
Even 1 year ago I would have said “No chance EVER of Blender surpassing C4D, Maya and the like”.

My current project is switching to Blender (above-the-line decisions, you know $) and I lost the fight.

Ah, so frustrating eating my words now 🙁

    Brian,

If you undock the viewport, I believe you can get it to be 1:1
    like the picture viewer.

    cheers.

    Hi Ernesto,

I don’t think I have the greatest network (yet) but, every machine I added to the network did wonders. I have six P4 machines (2.4G to 2.8G) each running XP pro with 1G ram. My work station (DualCore 1.86G + 2G Ram) is both the server and client. Total of 7 machines.

I do not know if this is possible but, I think a single machine with an I9 processor would replace my entire network. Anyone know if this is essentially equivalent?

    Thanks.
