You can place all your events on their own track in 3D space using the 3D source alpha mode.
Next you can create an empty track above all the tracks with the events.
Make all the tracks a child of the empty upper track. Now this empty track will not only have the track motion button in the track header, but also an parent motion button (completely on the left side of the track header). You can use the parent motion window to move all the events in the child-tracks as one object.Theo

Update: I have deinstalled 9d and reinstalled 9c. Now the project works fine again. Anybody else having the same problem?

Ok, I installed the 32bits Vegas pro 9d upgrade and tried to open the project I was working on.
