Does anyone know how I can speed up videos extremely, like shortening an 2 hour video into about 20 or 30 seconds? I have tried using the normal video shortener (Ctrl + Dragging the video), but it only lets me shorten the video to about 1/3 of the original length.

Can someone help? Or recommend another program that allows you to shorten videos as much as this?

In the past I have done this repeatedly, speed it up as far as you can, render it, take it into vegas, speed it up again..etc, until I get the correct length…a little tedious, but worked well!

Is there any way to speed up my video without doing this?

Going from 2h to 20 seconds in only an increase in speed of 360 times. By dragging on the timeline, you can achieve an increase in speed of 4 times. By importing this project in a new project (nested project) you can repeat the proces to give you speed of 16 times. So repeating two times more gives you a speed increase of 1024 times. Altogheter not so much work, and no in-between rendering needed

If you have the VASST Ultimate S plugin tool, you can use the frames feature to speed this up as much as you’d like, only one render ever needed, and it’ll play back at preview speed, always.

It says that it goes with Sony Vegas 8. Will it work with Vegas 9?
