Hi, im new in Sony Vegas, and I was wondering if someone can explain me how to add effects into text? I right click on video timeline>insert text media, i write what i want it to be written, and then what? Media generators doesnt have nice effects, and not many eather :\
I want effect “keyboard typing”, so letters appears on the screen like someone was typing them, so If someone can explain me this, I would be very grateful.

You have found one of the weaker points to Vegas. The Text Generator. You can do most of the effects that come canned in other programs but it takes a little more work.

Um, I found in Media Generator>prototype titler>empty some cool effects in collections tab, but, when I add effect, and rename text, effect dissapears?
I only have “fade out” effect remaining. Text is large and it continues to shrink and simulately going into the screen, if you can understand me, but “fly in” effect doesnt appear.

Here is the link how this is done:

Im doing everything right, but as soon as I rename text “The Brown Fox”, effect dissapers.
    Why?

To start with the easy things: you can apply all the transitions from the transition tab to your text. So not only the fades…

Once you have used them all, we can learn you a lot more tricks.
