December 19, 2012 at 6:32 pm in reply to: Vegas 12 unpredictable freezes, audio dropoutsAnother update to the issue. Just now went to the file>save as menu, then tried to create a new folder from that window for my veg files. This action cause Vegas to crash/shut down.

December 19, 2012 at 4:30 pm in reply to: Vegas 12 unpredictable freezes, audio dropoutsThanks John. I tried that but it seemed to actually get worse. Not sure what to try now other than go back to the previous version.

December 19, 2012 at 4:29 pm in reply to: Vegas 12 unpredictable freezes, audio dropoutsThe last update to 12 helped with the audio dropouts but yesterday I had loads of crashing again. Unfortunately Sony has the worst support on the planet, so likely I’ll get a response from them in 2-3 weeks and it’ll be along the lines of “restart your computer and see if that helps.” Then it takes another 3 weeks to respond after that…

I’m having the same issue. I have a Quadro 4000 and am downloading the new driver as I type. Appears to be a brand new release just today. Anyway, hoping this helps because working around all the freezing and crashing isn’t getting me anywhere.
Just a side note, Sony’s support is possibly the worst I’ve ever encountered. I don’t want to even try with them this time around as they typically wait 2 weeks and then just ask you to restart the machine. When you reply they wait another two weeks and then tell you to reinstall. Two weeks later they tell you to check for updates. Etc etc. Suddenly you realize this must be an inner ring of Hell.

October 22, 2012 at 10:18 pm in reply to: Another problem with DVDA subtitles and button actionsAnd a clarification, the DVD has three menu pages and I’ve placed on and off buttons on each page for easy access by the user. Is there an issue with having multiple buttons on different pages to turn subtitles on and off?

So, the culprit has been found and it’s an ongoing nightmare for me. I work for a healthcare company and HIPAA regulations are a huge thing. Earlier this year our IT department instituted a requirement that all drives be encrypted and passworded to prevent any patient or confidential information from being released or stolen in the event of a drive being lost. Doesn’t matter that I have no such information on any of the projects I’m working on. This encryption hosed up and it’s taken until this morning for IT to straighten out my drive so that I can continue making my backups, much less edit the project. I’ve been battling to get exempted from this encryption scheme for weeks and will continue, but it seems right now that it’s a losing battle. At least it’s all working again…for now.
Thanks everyone for the advice. -
That looks to be for Mac, I’m on a Windows machine. Or did I miss something on the website?

Sorry, should’ve been more descriptive. The glitches are in the QT animation file rendered out of AE. That’s why I’m wondering if there’s a setting in AE that I should change to help eliminate this issue. Would rendering multiple frames make a difference, or put another way, not rendering multiple frames might make a difference?

Yes, I actually talked to them on the phone and was told the issue would be taken to the programmers for assistance. After that I could not get a response from them.
Meanwhile, anyone else have any thoughts on the Quadro question?
