So AE is more dependent on how much RAM I can throw at it while PPro will utilize the CUDA stuff on the GPU?

I don’t know the version down to the decimal point because AE won’t open to let me see it. I can tell you though that it’s CC 2014, downloaded and updated about 1 1/2 weeks ago. I rebooted my machine first thing this morning, that’s when this problem started. I’ll try rebooting again to see what happens.
In the meantime, this is the error I’m getting.

When I try to open AE, it waits abnormally long to initialize the mediacore, then starts loading plugins and filters, then this error pops up.

Hi Kevin, just back to the office this morning and trying again. The strange thing is I set the work area for the first 30 seconds of the clip and it rendered fine. I then tried the full 22 minute piece and got the 24 bytes thumbnail again. Below is a screenshot of the settings, which is the stock Adobe settings for Vimeo HD 720 29.97. Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks Jeff. Since it was so short I just dropped the clips into another track and deleted the old, which worked. My concern is that at some point it’ll be a big project and that option will be too time consuming. Who knows, maybe it’ll pop up again, maybe not.

So I took the fonts off my laptop and installed onto the desktop only to have the same error. Is there a way to make AE find the correct font?? This makes no sense now that I’ve verified the exact font files are on both machines. Any help much appreciated!
