Can you draw Arrows in AE?

I know there are preset mask shapes in AE 7. In the effect & preset window type arrow into the search field. Apply it to a solid.

Thanks…but there aren’t any, I checked. I saved a frame in AE and imported into PS as a template. I would’ve thought there would be a need for arrows in AE.

I’ve previously imported paths of arrows from Illustrator. You might see if that does the trick.

Added bonus: you can manipulate the paths in AE.

Assuming you are using CS3:

CS3 no longer has the arrow preset.
It is pretty easy to create some rather nice arrows using shape layers.

If you have access to an older version of AE, I don’t see any reason you couldn’t copy the arrow preset into your CS3 preset folder.

You can use this ArrowHead or Arrow preset by VDODNA like in the old times, just better:

For straight Arrows:
