  • Another problem with DVDA subtitles and button actions

Posted by Steven J casey on October 22, 2012 at 10:08 pm

Eight videos in my menu, Spanish subtitles set up in DVDA (this is the only subtitle track), I created two buttons and assigned the actions of “Set Subtitle Track” to 1 and Off, respectively. The Track Language buttons are set on “2 Spanish (es)” for each video. For some reason the subtitles don’t turn on for all videos. As far as I can tell all videos have the same settings, so I don’t know why subtitles are inconsistent. Any gotchas I might be missing here?

Also, there is only one subtitle track and it’s Spanish, which is labeled #2 on the Track Language button. Does this mean the Action property should be set to 2 instead of 1?

    thanks
    Steven

And a clarification, the DVD has three menu pages and I’ve placed on and off buttons on each page for easy access by the user. Is there an issue with having multiple buttons on different pages to turn subtitles on and off?

I have a similar problem with buttons not showing the correct stream.
I have resorted to using scripts, but now have Danish on one film instead of Norwegian!

Did you ever get to the bottom of your problem?
I am simplifing the menu’s in case it is a ‘too many buttons’ type thing.
