  • Inside of general settings you can set the default behavior of double click, ctrl click, and alt click. I believe you are just looking to change double-click to open new tab.

Thanks for the quick response! That was my initial thought as well but I need the offline file to still live in the project in the correct sequences. Also, it’s not an unused clip, unfortunately.

Once I figure out where the media was moved to/find a backup copy I will need to reconnect.

    Thanks again,

    Hi Dan,
Wow! That is definitely much more clean. I was having trouble figuring out how to use functions to create new comps but this definitely cleared it up.

Thanks so much for the quick reply!

That’s too bad. We are testing out just using an RGB image tomorrow.

    Thanks!

April 7, 2015 at 5:41 pm in reply to: New PC Build for After Effects and Premiere

    Hey Tim,
Thanks for the info! Now I’ll just need to see if I can fit the extra drives into my budget… I could certainly get the higher power supply.

My one other question is this –

Will the upcoming versions of Premiere enhance it’s support for multiple GPUs?
This is not something I need at this point but potentially may want to upgrade in the future and would like to keep this in mind while choosing a motherboard.

    Thanks again,
    Tim

April 6, 2015 at 6:10 pm in reply to: New PC Build Question

Thanks a lot for the feedback guys, definitely helpful. I was sticking to the 16GB to cut costs for now, but I’ll see if I can get that upgraded.

I’m still trying to figure out what to do for cache files. I currently have a 500GB SSD drive for my OS and cache files in AE but it takes up so much space during each session that I have to constantly clear it all which seems counterproductive. Is this a normal thing for all AE users? I’m not even sure if I could afford it but would it be better to get a 750GB or 1TB SSD drive for this?

I’ll send these specs over to the Premiere forum for sure.

    Thanks!

Good idea, the color correction approach should work in the scenario. As for the cloth- you would think this would be considered before shooting, right? I’m just the post guy though…

    Thanks!
