  • Project Manager Not functioning with Offline Media

    Hi all,
I am trying to backup a large project using the Project Manager. I have offline media present and for various reasons I would like to keep it that way for reference. Whenever I try to copy all the files it cancels once it hits an offline piece of media. Is there a way around this? There are files located on multiple servers and so manually trying to back this up would be a pain.

Here are the exact settings I’m using to do the copying –

Collect Files and Copy to New Location
    All options are unchecked

Is there a solution to this? Why can’t it just maintain the offline status and just keep it as a reference? I understand the logic of it but I can’t imagine that there is no workaround.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the quick response! That was my initial thought as well but I need the offline file to still live in the project in the correct sequences. Also, it’s not an unused clip, unfortunately.

Once I figure out where the media was moved to/find a backup copy I will need to reconnect.

    Thanks again,
    -Tim
