  • Hi,
thanks for sharing everybody and thanks to R

  • Hi,
I also faced exactly the same problems.
Please check my experiances and temp. solutions on my post “Audio sync problems” Dtd 30 th sept. i had the same problem but my time line was much more complicated but audio was one clips

    My temp. solutions solutions were
    1. Complete all your work and when you are ready to do master to tape. reboot the machine restart premiere pro, open your project and without doing anything else do master to tape. For driver ver 5.0 , 5.1 & 5.2. 95% of the time this way there were no outsyncs.

    2. Use driver ver 4.7 or 4.8 , but on assemble edit you have to punch from one frame before, as the first frame is some random frame followed by rest of the master in proper sync. so instead of punching from say 09.59.30.00 i used to punch from 09.59.29.24 (PAL) and the later reinsert the stupid frame with black

I have not checked ver 5.22 as i have not done a similar new project from last 1 month.

I hope this helps you in some way. Rest decklink has to help

    good luck

    Hi,
Try striping these disks as four simple volumes and check individual speed of each.

    goodluck

    Hi,
If you are thinking of working on premiere pro. You just downnload the the windows xp codec from blackmagic site. Install a graphic card like nvidia 6600 with tv out on secondry display. and any sound card supported by premiere. You will have to use video mirror on secondry display function of the card and you will get full frame video on ‘tv out’ of the graphic card. You can bring the media digitised from the extreme card computer with a firewire/usb disk. Just use this comp to edit and do all your output and input from the comp having extreme card. There is no real need of a decklink card on the home system.

    good luck

    HI,
    Some more
1.Trim handles on edl import and batch capture (Not just Log).
2.Better interpolation options on speed change of chots.
    3.Batch capturing of time line.
4.Batch capturing of edl on clip base like any other NLE, it should not just capture the entire tape.

    thanks

  • Hi,
Premiere does slow down on large projects. The slowness depends on your machine also. Check Memory usage with your project open under Task manager->Performence. If the PF memory usage is around 2 gb or more then adding more memory will help. But I am quite shure pentium 3 MB wont take more ram. If you constantly do such projects, please upgrade to a dual xeon machine. It will be much smoother. Alternatively If you can Temporarily offline some files, do it(AVI). Just make a new folder in the same drive and move those files to this folder. dont link them until you require them.

    Good Luck

    Hi,

Which ver. of blackmagic drivers are you using. Please check my experiances and temp. solutions on my post “Audio sync problems” Dtd 30 th sept. i had the same problem but my time line was much more complicated but audio was one clip. First i thought my raid may be the problem but just two days back somebody reported the same problem with 1.8 tb raid. i guess that must be a very fast raid. please share your raid details.

    thanks

    Hi,

    Please repost this problem,
i just happened to check back for somebody else. decklink guys need to take this problems seriouly.
My safe bet is to use 4.8 drivers( but beware of 1 frame late problem as discussed previously on assemble edit).
with other latest drivers just reboot the system after you finish doing every thing all the renders etc. and just export to tape as you open your project after rebooting. This solves on a temprerory basis.

I thought it might be my raid problem. but there was no video drop frames. But you have a much better raid. I was working on sd project. any way next week i am doubling my raid, then i will check if the problem persists. Now i am scared my upgrading might not solve the problem.

    thanks
