    Hi,
    If you are using dv footage use dv preset when you open an poject or avi project otherwise. While exporting check under settings, what compressor you are using “none” is best to maintain quality.
    But your system should be capable enough to playback an uncompressed avi file.
    If working with dv, you can easily export back to “microsoft dv avi” and compressor as dv PAL/Ntsc as the case may be. not dv24 unless your source is dv 24.
    ps: keep lower field first for dv sources

    Hi,
    Just use the dv preset on the premiere when you open a new project. If you still see fields in your pc monitors dont worry. They will look ok on tv. Fields (venetian Blinds effect) are integral part of the video. Just make shure field dominence is lower field first every where,if your source is dv. For all other sources upper field first.

  • Hi,
    There is only convert button there on the left side. Premiere pro reports a serious error occured and crashes as soon as I press that convert button.
