The easiest way would be with the “shatter”-plugin
(could have a out of focus copy of the comp as your background)

I guess the position data is applied to the anchorpoint of the circle, so you can just reposition it to your startpoint. If its applied to the position-keyframes, you can change the anchorpoint data so it goes to its position.
A third possibility (if the keyframes are position) is to select all the keyframes made and drag your object (with all keyframes selected) to its startingpoint.

TV is a horrible resolution, your picts are way too big.
Try downsampling them to the size you’ll actualy see on screen.
(jpeg-copies in photoshop or precomp in after (don’t activate the continuous rasterize))

Not entirely, Dave, I’ve noticed with extreme comp-sizes, even in quarter and 25% screensize, a preview stops halfway. Precomping in a quartesize comp, previews the whole length.
    Don’t ask me why…

When a vector layer such as a AE text layer comes very close to the camera it becomes too big for your memory, changing the zoom and distance of your camera can avoid this,
so will working with a rasterized text, as explained in the other anwers to your post.

Get this guy to install CS3
    no, just a joke
There is a way to translate CS3 projects into AE7 projects.
Open CS3 project and a similar AE7 project in a text editor and change the things that are different in the CS3 project, save as .aep and open in AE7.

But I think in your case it’s easier to do what Darby said.
