  • Hello again Jaroslav,

Thanks for the info. I shall give it a try.

  • Hi Jaroslav,

I also have 50i video. I tried your method to convert to 50fps and the video plays clear on the preview screen. Is there any way to render out to the same results and, if so, what would be the render settings. Thanks, Pete.

    Hi Peder,
The easiest way is to turn on auto ripple on the toolbar on top or Ctrl+L.
As each cut is made the events to the right will close the gap made by each cut or deletion.

  • Hi guys, slightly off target but I sent out some videos (Blu-rays) that I made here in Pal land to relatives in the states…1080, 50i at 25fps. They couldn’t play them on their newish Blu ray players so I had to re-burn, re-formatting at NTSC frame rates & that worked.

Thought the old Pal vs NTSC was not needed for HDV.

    Pete.

    Hi people,
This might sound daft but why not spray paint a soccer ball (or similar) bright green and film it in front of a green screen with a garden hose supplying water from above. With careful chroma keying you might wind up with just a sheet of rain
    bouncing off a sphere…Pete.

Hi, a bit off track here but if you just need a line as a graph indicator instead of an arrow you could download Route Generator(free).

You can then put a background of your choice (still or video) and animate a line,
any thickness and colour, over it. This will generate a series of BMPs which you can import into SV as a “still image sequence” on the timeline…render as normal after that…it’s free and a nice tool to have, Pete.

Brett, Have a look at “Route Generator” on Google. It’s a freebie & will animate
an adjustable line, any color, over an overlay of your choice. Pete.

I’m still using VP9 and if your footage is on the timeline I just go to the “ignore event grouping”
button located on top with all the editing tools, Pete.

You can also try Bluff Titler. There’s a similar circle effect done with photos which could also use
video clips. You can probably check it out on their website first, Pete

    Hi Jaysri,
Any chance of posting a screen shot, maybe before render and after render plus any settings
you used. Maybe I can duplicate it and see what’s wrong. Pete.
