I have been unable to find how to delete the audio content without also deleting the video. sometimes my file is too large to burn to dvd and the audio is unimportant anyway, for instance studying ants. by deleting audio I clear a couple more gigs. also what is the best renderinf format for longer lower quality video?

    Hi!

I’m new to Vegas- But do this a lot…
Right click either the video or audio track.
Go to “Group” …. then select “Remove From”
… Then it separates the audio from the video, and you can delete it by itself.

I am using Vegas 10 …. Not sure how different the other versions are from this one.

I cannot help with the format, as this is something I need to know, too 🙁 … Lol

I’m still using VP9 and if your footage is on the timeline I just go to the “ignore event grouping”
button located on top with all the editing tools, Pete.

You can also just select the event and type the “U” key to Ungroup.
