What Vegas plugin or 3rd party app can I use to create to create a rotating carousel effect of images? I want the images to circulate in 3D space with the main image visible in the foreground, but other images circulating in the background but out of focus until they cycle into the foreground view. I have seen it being done on network TV, and am wondering if it is at all possible to do in Vegas.

My system specs: Intel i7 970, 12GB RAM, ASUS P6T, Vegas Pro 12 (x64), Windows 7 x64 Ultimate, Vegas Production Assistant 1.0, VASST Ultimate S Pro 4.1, Neat Video Pro 2.6

See if Scattershot 3D from VASST will do what you want.

scattershot inside vegas and always after effects for the outside job. scattershot may even be simpler as i think there are presets for more or less what you want which you can just adjust to your needs

You can also try Bluff Titler. There’s a similar circle effect done with photos which could also use
video clips. You can probably check it out on their website first, Pete

Scattershot is fabulous. Depending on how many pictures you want to include, it can take a very long time to render but that plug in will certainly do the trick.

excuse my ignorance, does this extension use some kind of GPU acceleration for rendering or just relies on the basics provided by the host ? we use some third party plugin at my workplace to streamline photo montages but I’m impressed with John’s work, might try to convince the IT guys but it will be hard (“if it ain’t broken…”)
