  • Easiest way to edit a tabletennis video?

    Hi!

My son is using Sony Vegas Pro 13 for editing tabletennis recordings. But I think there should be a better way for him to do the editing. Now he:

1 – Opens up to recording
2 – Cuts out every pause between the balls
3 – Gets a recording full of gaps.
4 – Moves every remaining piece – one by one – to the left – seems not so smart…
5 – Generates the movie and uploads it to youtube…

Step 2 to 4 – is there a smarter way to do this?

    Hi Peder,
The easiest way is to turn on auto ripple on the toolbar on top or Ctrl+L.
As each cut is made the events to the right will close the gap made by each cut or deletion.

As Pete suggested, for basic cuts editing, auto ripple is the way to go. However, a word of caution. Once you have finished assembling your events, turn if Off. If you begin adding music, titles, still images, etc., it is very easy to really mess up your timeline and lose a lot of your work.
