Same here. Have 2 xf100’s and 2 xa25’s. Canon files are smooth as silk in cs6. Copy the entire card to a drive and access it through the media browser.

My March 2011 15″ Macbook Pro came with 1gb of RAM. Well before CS6 was released. I put 16 gb of RAM in it and it runs just great.

Yes in CS7. Right on the General Preferences pane. Not in CS6.

You can also select multiple effects and right click to save them ALL as a single preset. I use this all the time mostly for Ultra Key/Scale/CCR scenarios where all the talent was shot on the same set on the same day sorta stuff. Big time saver and helps keep a consistent look. Literally get one shot keyed and corrected then save it off and apply it one time to a group of clips and everything is ready to go.

Try just dragging a clip onto the new sequence icon and see what happens. Let PPro build the sequence rather than you inputting the settings. Might make a difference.

I have the CS6 Master Collection and have had a CS Collection of some sort since CS2. The Master Collection is far short of what you get with Creative Cloud subscription. With the subscription you now have access to everything Adobe releases, not so with physical discs.
I understand the reasoning for preferring to have the discs. The company I work for insists on the physical media (even though it’s more expensive than a monthly subscription). But to be honest, I’ve never handled the discs. Not once. I download the trial, they purchase the license, send me the SS# and the discs get sent to another place where they’re tagged and inventoried. I activate the trial and am on my way.

Aindreas you can use the Media Browser to navigate to any Project and then you’re given the choice to import the entire project or choose any individual sequence you’d like to import. Dynamic Link is just dreamy…

Tried to duplicate this and wasn’t able to. I put 2 layers of 720p on a 1080p clip/sequence, set both clips to “scale to frame size”, nested them and put them back on the 1080p timeline. Rendered out just fine. One note, checking “scale to frame size” on the nest had no effect whatsoever. So that function seems to be strictly clip based.

You can’t just have it highlighted you need to open it. Double click on the bin to open it and then import your footage. You can also set how the bin opens (new window, in place) in Preferences-General.

In the same way you can save a single effect preset or a group of effect presets. Highlight the ones you want, right click to save preset and give it a new name. You can then have one preset for multiple effects.
