  • Silly question but can you change default bin for record etc

This has bugged me for a while but have always worked round it. When I import material I can have a bin hi-lighted but it ends up some other bin and I have to go find it. Also when recording VO even though I setup a VO bin and have it hi-lighted but the recorded audio still seems to end up in the base bin.

Is there anyway to select which bin imports and recordings are put into.

This must be my finger trouble surely 🙂

    Cheers

You can’t just have it highlighted you need to open it. Double click on the bin to open it and then import your footage. You can also set how the bin opens (new window, in place) in Preferences-General.

Still leaves the issue of when you do a VO record through the mixer, when you stop, the clip is created in the base bin even if the only bin open is the one you created to put the VO in, still ends up in the closed base bin.
