Posted by Steve Martin on April 14, 2013 at 1:08 amI know, it’s small thing, but they drive me nuts!
Production is fun – but lets not forget: Nobody ever died on the video table!

October 21, 2013 at 11:37 pmI think you may have gotten your answer on the Adobe forums but for others interested.
From Mark Mapes @ Adobe
Are all the tooltips still popping up, or are do most of them go away while others remain? I believe it’s by design that the following tooltip-esque popups remain: clip info in Timeline, marker info in the Timeline and the Source & Program monitors, Start/End/Duration when mouse pointer is over the beginning of the timebar in the Source or Program monitor.
Let us know if either you’re still seeing other tooltips or if you think the preference should hide all tooltips.Peter Garaway

October 22, 2013 at 1:49 amthanks. that may be the answer. just some of them. But what I’m finding most often in PPro and Media Encoder is.. PPro, when I launch a plugin window, the control descriptions hover there while I’m attempting to adjust a parameter so that I can not see what I am adjusting. For example when I use legacy compressor pop up, the descriptions for threshold, decay, etc, when I grab the knob to adjust the description pops up in the way. In media encoder, sometimes when I’m trying to assign codecs or destination, the tips can get in the way where I attempt to drag the screen out of the way to see. It’s helpful to have the data rate description and all that pops up, but maybe a choice selection would be good instead of it showing up by default. thanks! – Brian

July 23, 2014 at 10:19 pmYes. This is most annoying. All Effects boxes show useless info popups when I’m trying to adjust a parameter. Probably THE most annoying thing about Premier Pro, IMO. Tool tips are turned off in prefs.
