  • First thing I would do is uninstall all things Matrox and see how everything runs in a native Adobe timeline. Do a full uninstall. All the utils and the cards pulled from the box. I was a loyal Matrox user for years (DSLE thru AXIO CS4) and by the end things were so buggy that I just turfed it all when I got a new CUDA card and never looked back.

    Taking all that stuff out is a hassle to be sure, but it’s a real quick way to eliminate a bunch of possible causes.

    So why don’t you just edit at the resolution you shot at and output to whatever resolution you need?

    As far as the other part of your question apply the Fill Left effect, right click on the audio track, select edit in Audition (or Soundbooth depending on what CS you’re using) and the audio program will launch with your track already loaded. Do all your sweetening then hit save. The track will render and replace the original in your timeline. No re-attaching or re-linking required. Your original file in your bin remains untouched. Only the clip in your timeline is affected. That is Dynamic Link at its finest.
