You know you can use Prelude to pick just your selects and transfer them to a folder or even subfolder and just the selects will be copied over maintaining the original card hierarchy. An edited clone of your card if you will.

I can copy and paste transitions all over the timeline regardless where the playhead is. Select any edit, anywhere and paste or add default transition whether the track is selected or not. Select all the tracks you want to effect and by using the up/down arrows you jump to each edit point and paste. I get that there’s no option dragging to copy, but I don’t get why just copy once/paste as needed isn’t a better solution.

Did you create the Multicam timeline from a nested version of the original tracks? If so, just go back to the original timeline and add your effects there. They will carry over to the Multicam timeline.

Importing another sequence is the most tidy way to do this for sure. You get everything in its own folder. But you can just highlight and copy a sequence from inside one project then launch the target project and just paste into the project browser. Everything used in that sequence will come over along with an instance of that sequence just not all inside its own folder. Personally, I don’t ever do this, but it can be done. Worth noting that this copied sequence is not dynamically linked to the old one no matter which method you use. Still I always rename it just to keep things straight.

Here’s what I use:

Select Clip at Playhead: D
Ripple Trim Next Edit to Playhead: W
Ripple Trim Previous Edit to Playhead: Q

First one is default mapped. Other two are custom mapped.

Select all the video clips and nest them. Then enable this nested clip for multicam. At this point I usually make a new timeline from this timeline and cut the multicam there.

Never had any problems with usb3 on the MBPr. One thing on both is that the usb3 also ejects way slower than other drives. Slower than even when it’s hooked up as usb2. But no problems with usb3 on the MBPr.
