I have recently migrated back to Premiere CS6 after spending a while in FCP 7. One feature that I am missing (or unable to find) is the ability to find and select multiple clips in the timeline for the purpose of pasting attributes. I am cutting a multiclip sequence and want to apply certain filters to all the clips from the same camera. I found this old thread (https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/3/910589) and was hoping this feature has since been added.

Is your question regarding how to find the desired clips, or how to paste to multiple clips at the same time. If the latter, shift-click to select the desired clips, then paste attributes.

I have a 40 minute long interview which is a multicam sequence (two cameras: A&B). That means I have about a 100 short clips in the form of A,B,A,B,A,B,A,B,A…, etc. It would be nice if I could copy the filters from one instance of A to the other A clips without shift-clicking through all of them.

Are the clips on dedicated tracks, or alternating on the same track?

All on one track. Otherwise I could have easily selected the entire track. This is a feature available in FCP 7 with the ‘find’ option, and then ‘find all’ to select all clips with a common name such as MC1.

Did you create the Multicam timeline from a nested version of the original tracks? If so, just go back to the original timeline and add your effects there. They will carry over to the Multicam timeline.
