If you look down at Todd’s last post in the below October bump thread, it sounds like you should have a Happy Halloween.

When a release is promised for October, and it’s released on the last day of the month, that tells me to beware of numerous known bugs.

Granted, all software has known bugs when released, but this seems like a fairly substantial release, which hopefully works as planned. The SpeedGrade integration is the part that really interests me.

    Same here John (speedgrade)

I’m not going to beat up Adobe too much on this though.

Apparently they had a ton more testing to do. I’d rather have it
right than release untested…can you imagine THAT backlash?

Also there are some problems (closed captioning) with
the current version of CC when you have OS X Mavericks
installed so they probably had to test a bunch of stuff
    for that as well.

In the past it seems they rolled out the availability throughout the day. So I don’t expect to see “up to date” turn into “update available” until who knows when. Anyone downloading yet?

A bug that reaches production will cost 10x compared to one caught in development or test.

Well, the updates are now live, so why not give them a try and see if it was worth the wait 🙂

Why doesn’t the little CC thing up in the menu bar reflect the updates? Even when I go to premiere help>updates it just says all apps are up to date.

It pings the server every once in a while… You can quit it and reopen it to get it to check. Windows should be live on the updater now. We are still waiting for the mac side to show up.

    Cheers

I don’t see an AE update, nor even an AE CC download at all.

They should be rolling out soon through the updater. Here’s a link to updates for all Adobe video applications:
