Timeline from one PPro to another
I’m on CS6
This is driving me nuts.
I just want to move a timeline from one project to another.
1. If I copy the clips in the timeline, open the other project and paste in a new timeline, everything looks great. Until I re-open and it totally loses the link to audio on the timeline. It’s a quirky thing I’m familiar with that apparently has no easy solution, other than manually dropping the audio clips back in.
2. EDL. An EDL export. With the option of only exporting ONE VIDEO TRACK. Are you kidding me right now? Who the hell only uses only one track of video?
3. Final Cut Pro XML (last ditch effort). It ALMOST works right, but loses effects and temporary titles. There are workarounds for each of these. But it seems to me there should be some easy solution that will allow me to just take one timeline and put it in the other.
What am I missing?
I love Premiere (former FCP user), but the one thing I miss about FCP is the ability to open multiple projects at once and just copy and paste away.
