Not sure if this will help for the wave but this tutorial I found shows how to work with 3D Grids and can give you an idea on how to apply it to the ocean waves you wish to create: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rj9WHWJDzLE

Hope it helps! Let me know if you need any other assistance 🙂

August 8, 2023 at 5:54 pm in reply to: Keyboard Shortcuts window not opening

Not so sure if you fully upgraded your alienware computer with a new hard drive or not. Is it a Desktop or a Laptop? Because if you upgraded your Windows on your Desktop computer for example, all the settings should be saved but if its a new computer, the settings on Premiere Pro should be set as default in the beginning. That’s how I see it.

If the Keyboard shortcuts is not even opening after going to Edit -> Keyboard Shortcuts , then I would assume something is going on with the application itself. Could be some corrupt or missing critical files preventing you from opening and making changes. Try uninstalling Premiere Pro and reinstalling it to see if somehow it fixes the issue and opens the Keyboard Shortcuts. When it reinstalls, it installs all the critical background files and processes working behind the scene to open it again. Best of luck and let me know if you run into any issues along the way.

  • You could get an SSD Drive and install the Mac OS within there if you have the means to do so. It will certainly help boot up your PC a lot quicker than with the HDD drives you have. 16GB is RAM is mainly the minimum requirement to even use Adobe Premiere Pro, thats how much RAM my PC has now and I have plans to upgrade to 32GB of RAM later this year. So in the meantime, you can certainly use an SSD but if you plan to put it internally, Apple products are notorious to being anti-consumer fix which basically means its super tedious to open an apple product without breaking it unless you have special tools and training on how to open it properly. There should be tutorials online to help you on that but the alternative is having an enclosure for an SSD Drive to plug it via USB and have the OS boot from your SSD. May also need to mirror the drive from your main internal drive using tools like disk manager equilavent in Mac to then copy the drive from your OS HDD to your external SSD. Hopefully you can find a work around for this soon to help you continue with your Premiere Pro work on a budget.

August 7, 2023 at 9:08 pm in reply to: Premiere Pro 2023 just isn’t exporting.

That export issue you are having seems to be some sort of glitch and if you even reinstalled it after uninstalling it, it still gives this issue huh? The specs you have on your PC is more than enough for exporting. Even my PC that is faaaaar inferior to yours was able to export in Premiere Pro but I have experienced issues like this before once in a while. There could be an unwanted .dll file or some malware that could be preventing you from export it. You may want to first use an anti-virus software to see if it detects any strange files that you have not realized that is giving you this glitch. Question, does it give you an error message? If it does, you should start researching on google on what that error message does exactly.

August 7, 2023 at 9:01 pm in reply to: After Effects crashing – no idea why

Its kinda what happened to my Sony Vegas Pro 20 that it sometimes crashes out of nowhere and it does not tell you what file is causing this. Since you tried most of the things and still does not work, have you tried checking how much processes and Memory it consumes when running AE 2023 in Task Manager? And depends what else is running in the background while AE 2023 is opened. I am figuring out this same issue with my latest Sony Vegas so I know the feeling.

Here is also a search list of videos that you can check out that may help you with the crashing issues too: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=after+effects+2023+crashing

August 4, 2023 at 12:15 am in reply to: Premiere playback and clip preview

That is strange, it does also take me a bit of time to open but 20-30 minutes it shouldn’t have taken. I would ask if you have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, or scan for viruses that could be causing Premiere Pro to take so long to load the preview. And it may also depend on the specs but it seems your specs on your computer should be good if your DaVinci Resolve is able to load it quickly. It seems that DaVinci may have used less resources to run compared to Premiere Pro, it does consume a lot of RAM as well. I would say scan your computer to see if any background processes can be relating to Premiere Pro slowing down. Hope it helps.

August 2, 2023 at 3:07 pm in reply to: Listbox – Add Image

I think you may have to type in the full directory of the file. I see: “~/Desktop/Asset 5.png” in the code like if its incomplete. Not sure if its usually done this way but try writing in the code the Drive Letter directory and then the folders within that drive leading to Asset 5.png . Hopefully that helps. I think that the code is a bit confused on how it wants the image to appear but since you can view it through another method, you can experiment with the directory code and see if you have better luck.

July 31, 2023 at 7:15 pm in reply to: Bizarre issue – render preview bar disappearing.

Just saw the specs of your computer and it is indeed weird despite you having more than enough RAM and processing power to run these projects smoothly, it continues to give you problems. I can confirm the specs shouldn’t be the cause of the issues. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling premiere pro? Sometimes updates tends to mess up with some settings and I dunno why thats the case but its a theory I have. Some updates gets installed earlier than it should be and instead of fixing bugs, it creates them. So my theory would be the reinstalling of the software process. I imagine restarting the computer will not work either. Do you get any error messages when this happens? Or just glitches? Hope to hear back from you soon!
