Optimizing my 2014 MacBook for Premiere/After Effects
Hello Everyone.
So first here are some specs:
I have a MacBook that is from Mid 2014
With 16GB RAM and 512GB storage
I’ve been using two LaCie HDD drives(one as a scratch disk and one for holding files) when working on Premiere/After Effects projects but it’s abysmally slow. I don’t have the funds to immediately get a M2 Mac Mini Pro or Mac Studio yet so I’m wondering what SSD drives I should get to improve the speed on my current MacBook. I know it’s up there in age and I should have prepared for it but is there anyway I can use SSDs as a stopgap measure until I get enough money to upgrade? Any insight would be appreciated, thanks!
