January 9, 2025 at 5:39 pm in reply to: Seeking Input on Memory Card Usage in Reality Shows

I think any SD Cards that are Class 10 or more should be great because it helps with the speed of the SD card while its recording! Anything Sandisk branded is what I truly recommend, can go up to 1-2TB of storage so it all depends on what kind of video productions you plan to use. Many YouTubers like myself has some insights on the best SD Cards to use for this situation. Make sure you seek which SD Card Classes and speed is compatible with the video cameras you are using for the production. Hope it helps! 🙂

  • The graphics card will depend on the specs needed to do Proxy Editing, not sure how much resolution and length of the editing you plan to do but you may want to read this article explaining about the Proxy Workflow incase it helps you understand whats needed: https://blog.cimediacloud.com/premiere-pro-proxy-workflow/

If the proxy editing you will do requires that CPU you mention, go for it but since you said you wanted to replace a broken CPU, get something probably with slightly better performance than the last CPU you had and it should be compatible for the proxy editing. And also have a budget for the CPU because buying something powerful for the sake of having better specs but if you do not need it in order to do the work you do, just get something with your budget and needs. That way you can save that extra money for something you truly need in the future as well. Always good to prepare for the future, right? Hope that it helps! 🙂

December 19, 2024 at 8:53 pm in reply to: AI to find and remove objects

Not sure if AI has the capability yet to automatically but I imagine with time, there could be tools coming out that can handle this but it cannot automatically search where all the dots are and put an ultra key on it, thats something as Ivan said earlier, you will need to apply that. You can do it faster than the AI could at this point of time from what I researched. Good luck!

  • Hello! I have personally used Chat GPT before in the past and I was impressed when I ask them literally any questions I have, the chat bot there will compile professionally all the answers to your questions and white them in great details. Especially when it comes to providing instructions on how to execute the answer to your question. It can help for schools as well to know where to get started and its all compiled to a specific answer in seconds. Chat GPT is not perfect but its growing, I have more experience with character.ai since every response you give it, the chatbot would give you an accurate response but they are not always correct either since the bot generates answers that are given on the web. However I have yet to use Barb myself but it seems to be one of Chat GPT’s main competitors in the AI space. I plan to try Barb later to see exactly how it compares to Chat GPT. If its the AI generated answer for a google search, then I may had a taste of that there.

I did also found a video comparing both of them if you wish to know more info on this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1nf2jbMCw20

Hope it helps and AI is the future. If you learn to use the AI applications to your advantage, it can open doors to new opportunities in the future! 🙂

November 26, 2024 at 4:52 pm in reply to: How to Display Current Frame Number?

Hello David, I saw you also posted in the Vegas forums when I looked this issue up: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/frames-vs-absolute-frames–147876/ Not sure if you show the answers there.

With my answers, would have love to see some images of what you are explaining about so I know more visually on how you can view the exact frame rates of each of your timeline clips.

Here is something in additional that I found too: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/managing-frame-number-view-on-video-clips–143907/

When I looked up Absolute Frames, I stumble across the Freeze Frame technique as well. Not sure if its what you are looking for but it may be worth a check if it helps better on viewing your frames data better in your Vegas Timeline. Best of luck and hope something I say here helps!

November 18, 2024 at 3:22 pm in reply to: Premiere pro project damaged

Usually when I have a corrupted file on Photoshop and Sony Vegas, they would automatically backup a restored saved project. Not sure if you made sure of that, if not, then I would suggest trying what the other guy told you and going forward, you should try to save a 2nd backup file in another file location just incase one of them is corrupted. So you can be able to recover the project with the other backup and save it above both files once you make any changed on it. I had to do that sometimes with my Vegas projects when I noticed signs of corruptions that can happen, you just never know when your computer will act up. Best of luck! 🙂

So you are essentially looking for plugins from Adobe After Effects that you can utilize in Vegas PRO to include it in a video right? I personally don’t really use it but there are many options for them you can choose from I imagine.

Perhaps this video I found for the callouts and how they work can give you some ideas on what kind of callouts you plan to seek: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6efKGWeuYGQ.

Hopefully you find what you are looking for! 🙂

October 10, 2024 at 2:40 pm in reply to: Why are MP4 Files Very Slow to Load??

I found someone on the Adobe forums that seems to have a similiar problem to you and it seems that on Mac, it seems to barely support MP4 formats.

Here is the link for more info: https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/photoshop-on-macbook-pro-m1-chip-won-t-open-mp4-files/td-p/12790697

I never used Photoshop on a Mac so I cannot confirm that for a fact but this is why I prefer using Windows for this stuff. Hope it helps!

Thanks for your response. Perhaps if there is a way to record a video clip of you present the problem of you running it on Mac, I can try to research better on why this is going on. I pretty much always use Photoshop on PC at all time and do not work with MP4 videos on Photoshop, but on Vegas PRO or Premiere Pro. Hope to hear from you soon! 🙂
