October 7, 2024 at 3:12 pm in reply to: Can’t import vp61 codec videos into VEGAS PRO 18?

Hello Joe! I see you asked this same question on VCS forums and Reddit too so I will answer a bit differently from the rest. So from what I have research, there does not seem to be a codec particular for Vegas 18 PRO to be able to play these videos. I would suggest converting your VP61 videos to AVI, MP4 or MOV format so at least you can use these videos in Vegas PRO to support this format. This is the first time I heard of VP61 but from my understanding there are past codecs that used to work on older versions of Vegas PRO but no longer in the newer ones, mainly cause perhaps they did not made codecs that supports the new version due to perhaps them discountinuing the codec support. I had issues before that they did not support certain formats but after installing the codec for that, it works but thats cause it was still supporting the current Vegas Pro I use and its a more common format. Hope this helps and best of luck on this!

October 7, 2024 at 3:00 pm in reply to: vlc says 23.9 fps, vegas says 25

Not sure whats going on here exactly but it seems to me that when you render a video at 25 fps, it may appear as lower when actually playing it. After all, its kinda like when you have 500 GB of External Drive storage and only 460 something GB is usable since the other 40GB or so runs the system behind it, like if Windows is preinstalled in a Drive marketed at 500 GB.

Plus why 25 fps if I may ask? Not sure if you are running an SD or HD quality video but if its HD, usually I would run it at 59-60fps whenever I render any of my HD videos for my YouTube channel. I wish you best of luck, try rendering at 30fps to see if VLC runs it at over 25 fps. There are plenty of rendering format options you can choose from in Vegas PRO.

October 7, 2024 at 2:54 pm in reply to: vegas 17 when I watch in full screen it glitches

Would be nice to show a screenshot of two on what the issues looks like but that glitch could be temporary. Try closing Vegas Pro, ending the process in Task Manager and then reopen it if it still glitches. If that does not work, try restarting the computer and try again. If that does not work, the last thing to try is uninstalling and reinstalling Vegas PRO to see if the glitch goes away. The glitch can be a corruption in a specific critical system file used to run the application and the reinstallation should help reset all the files to factory settings and should work normally by then. Best of luck on this and hope it works for you. Let me know how it goes! 🙂

October 2, 2024 at 3:47 pm in reply to: Silent Movie Captions

Hello Eric, sorry to hear the sound did not registered on your silent video.

If there is a way you can screenshot the timestamp showing up in the top left corner of the video so I can visually see it, it can help me figure out how to get rid of it. Is it part of a video clip in the timeline above the main video?

For the captions, you can play around in the VEGAS Titles & Text section by selecting Insert > Text… and you can add background colors, shadows and other cool effects you can use on the text, I imagine you can grain your subtitled text as well. Found a good tutorial that can probably help you further with this any answer some of your other questions you may have with it.

Hope it helps and good luck! Hope to hear back from you soon on your progress. 🙂

September 27, 2024 at 1:16 pm in reply to: Rectangular Marquee Tool

I was trying the Rectangular Marquee Tool myself last night on Photoshop 2024 and it does not seem to take me automatically to substraction. Seems to be an option. If you were able to screenshot or record a video clip of the exact issue so I can observe it. Perhaps I can point out what happened and come up with a solution for you there. I found a link where you can go through the tutorial to see if something said here can give you an idea on whats going on in your end. This page was posted like 4 days ago so it should be on the latest Photoshop version: https://fixthephoto.com/how-to-use-the-marquee-tool-in-photoshop.html

From what it looks like to me, it seems like a missing critical file on your Vegas PRO folder. If you are unable to locate the file through the search, I would suggest you try uninstalling your Vegas PRO and reinstalling the whole application again to see if you are able to get those files back in the proper location so you can use the text features within the application. Hope it works for you and that I hear from you soon!

Perhaps if you can show me a video on your attempt on it, I can probably get a better idea on how you can get started with it. 🙂

September 23, 2024 at 6:56 pm in reply to: Hard to make sentence mixing

Hey Andris! To answer your question, it does not seem you need a special plug-in in order to sentence mix on Vegas Pro. I found a tutorial online that I watched of a straight forward way to do this. Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QvB4wr_U_Gw

Since its related to YTP, this can probably give you an idea on what you can do for yours. Its all about editing out certain words and then putting them together to make it seems in some ways they are saying those words instead even if its obviously edited but they make it funny. Hope it helps and that I hear from you soon.

September 23, 2024 at 6:54 pm in reply to: Why are MP4 Files Very Slow to Load??

    Hello Adam!

I do not think its an issue on your laptop at all, what I believe could be causing this issue is probably a missing codec that helps you run MP4 properly. I personally have not really run MP4 files on my Adobe Photoshop since its mainly a photo editing app and I deal with MP4 on Vegas Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro.

I was looking up online and wanted to ask you if you tried moving the MP4 file to the desktop to see if it loads faster that way. Depending on the location of the MP4, it may take longer to load, so if its on an external hard drive or CD Drive for example, it will take longer to load since it has to get data from a removable device. Thats my theory at least.

If you can convert the video to another video file that photoshop supports like .MOV or .AVI for example. This link can give you more info on that: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/file-formats.html

And here is the link where I found other ppl with similiar issues as you that you can read on too to see if it can help you with your own solutions to try and see if they work:

Best of luck on this and hope to hear from you again soon! 🙂

September 18, 2024 at 6:21 pm in reply to: Hi, and a question about LUDs

First of all, I think you meant to say “LUT” in all the LUDs that you mentioned earlier in the question if I am not mistaken cause I could not find info on LUDs in Photoshop at all. When I saw this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4AXhwgwBAa8

It seems you can create individual Color Lookup layers each with their own LUT/CUBE file and you can change the settings within each Lookup layers. Question tho, when you said you wish to have different folders containing different LUT layers via .CUBE files or making a folder within the layers list and have certain layers within certain folders for more organization? I would like to have more clarity on that if possible so I know where to point to in the right direction! Hope to hear from you soon!
