    Lukkee,

What is the original image size and what is the aspect ration of the Red Project?

In the preferences in Red there is an import tab with options. If you set the Still Import Aspect ratio default to Square pixel do you see any difference?

    Hey David,

    Lot of info here…

What is the nature of the crash? Is it a freeze? App crashing out? Does it give you an error message?

I’d like tot est the file myself if possible. If you could do you have a small piece (under 5MB) you can send to me?

    My e-mail is mattm@borisfx.com

    Hey Bob,

Glad you figured it out on your own. Deleting the .ini is always a good place to start troubleshooting.

October 23, 2009 at 5:00 pm in reply to: How to uninstall Continuum 6 mac

There are a few ways to uninstall.

If you launch the installer, enter the serial code, and navigate to the custom install screen you will see a pull down at the top. Choose the uninstall option from the pull down and the plug-ins will be uninstalled.

To manually uninstall navigate to Mac HD> Library> Plug-Ins> FxPlug and remove any BCC files.

If you have installed from the most recent version of the BCC 6 installer you will have an uninstaller script in MacHD> Applications> BCC6. Run the script and you will uninstall the plugs.

October 22, 2009 at 3:13 pm in reply to: text quality comparison?

    Sean,

We found one thing that may improve the quality of the preview.

In the view window do you have the video size set to Fit or to 100%.

If it is set to fit switch it to 100% and you should see an improvement in the quality of the text preview.

October 20, 2009 at 2:51 pm in reply to: Pan and zoom file types?

    Jef,

I am able to select these files types.

What OS are you running on?

Does it throw an error message? Or just not show you the other files?

Can you post a screen shot of what you see? You may be looking for PSD files only.

Have you hidden all Avid MediaFiles and OMFI Media files folders on all your drives.

It looks like corrupt media, you may have a media folder hiding somewhere on your internal drive.

    Richard,

Sounds like you may have the RT setting in FCP set to unlimited. Set it to safe and you should be able to launch the FX interface.

October 8, 2009 at 8:18 pm in reply to: Video Card Burnout – no warranty

Unfortunately it looks like ATI wont help you either as per their policy: https://support.amd.com/us/warranty/Pages/Non-BoxedOriginalEquipmentManufacturer(OEM)WarrantyInformation.aspx

I think your only chance is to put pressure on the reseller but you might be out of luck.

  • Mark,

You would need to have each machine licensed. You can install the trial for 14 days on each machine if you want to test it out.

If you have a number of machines you want licensed I would suggest contacting Boris FX Sales at 888 772 6747.

As far as your render issue can you post an image of what you are seeing? Also your system specs and graphics card?
