Blackmagic Deck Control as a capture still frame option that work with all the cards, including Intensity.

Should be the other way around! Power on the Multibridge Extreme before powering the Mac.

We’re not seeing this issue here but I’ll confirm it again.

Are you sending any form of sync into the HD Extreme card and what happens when you play out in iTunes?

Hi David,

Do you mean that you’re outputting 29.97 from the deck or are you outputting 23.98 from the deck but capturing to 29.97 using the DeckLink card?

Why not try capturing directly with the 23.98 > 29.97 easy setup in FCP? You can then capture directly to 23.98 but output 29.97 during your edits.

We’ve replicated the issue here and should be able to address it.

In the meantime, kindly do not allow your Mac to sleep. Some strong coffee should do it. 🙂

Hi,

Yes, Final Cut Pro automatically applies a shift field filter if it detects a different in field dominance between the clip and the configured timeline. The video then gets passed on to out output component. Unfortunately, this doesn’t quite happen correctly in Final Cut Pro 5.1.1 but should be addressed in the upcoming 5.1.2 release.

According to the DVW-250 manual, the serial control port is switchable between Sony 9-pin protocol and RS232. Unfortunately, it does not specify how this is configured. Could this be the reason you’re having trouble? Is there a way to confirm that the deck is indeed switched to using Sony’s 9-pin protocol for its remote control port?

Hi Charlie,

Which card is this? We offer analog video adjustments and not digital video adjustments on capture. If you’re capturing via component inputs, you can access the Proc-Amp settings in the DeckLink Control Panel to adjust your input levels.
