Hi Joe,

Yeah, I was referring to displays with HDMI inputs. The smallest I know of is the BenQ 24 inch. Unfortunately, it stretches everything to fit the screen which is not ideal. I think it is only a matter of time before smaller displays gain HDMI connectivity (with 1:1 scaling) though.

Yes, 1366×768 is fine. As long as the monitor is able to handle a 1920×1080 signal via HDMI, then it’s ok. You’ll find that it will work majority of the displays with HDMI input such as Sony and Panasonic.

Hi,

If you use firewire to capture, you can only capture to the DV codec. If you use SDI then you’ll have the choice of going uncompressed or back to DV.

Hi,

Thanks for the email informing me that the issue with no SDI output is due to a cabling mixup.

Please also let me know if going back to a previous driver fixed the issue with 720p monitoring.

Not sure what you mean by this. There are lots of HDMI displays out there and you can use Intensity with those.

Hi Mike,

You have to be more specific about how you’ve ingested you clips (whether pulldown was applied) and what frame rate they were shot in. Remember to create a new sequence after selecting the easy setups. The setups do not affect exisiting sequences.

Is this 24 fps or 23.98fps? If it’s 23.98fps, you can use the “Blackmagic HDTV 1080i 23.98->59.94 – DVCPRO HD” easy setups. This will pull down the timeline to 59.94 and then down convert it to NTSC.
